Potential apprentices find out more at the fair

More than 150 Crawley residents came face-to-face with businesses offering ‘earn while you learn’ opportunities at the Employ Crawley Apprenticeship Fair on Wednesday (29 June).

The fair, held at Crawley Library, brought together a wide range of employers including Crawley College, Sussex Police, West Sussex County Council, Creative Technology, Thales, Vulcan Ellis, L3 Commercial, CityFibre, B&CE, Mitie, Arora Group, Kier, Wates, Everyone Active, The Army, KC Controls, ILG and Rewards Training.

Visitors were able to find out more about opportunities at 20 different organisations, ask questions about apprenticeships and apply for available roles.

Employ Crawley is a Crawley Borough Council service. It helps local people access advice and guidance from specialist organisations in the town while providing one-to-one tailored support.


Cllr Atif Nawaz, Cabinet member for Planning and Economic Development at Crawley Borough Council said;


"I’m delighted with the success of the Employ Crawley Apprenticeship Fair. It has helped motivate and inspire people to take their first step into a successful career. Employ Crawley is a flagship project in our Employment and Skills Programme. Supporting apprenticeships is a key priority for us; as well as providing employment, apprenticeships help businesses to recruit from the local talent pool."
