Thanks to the Crawley Town Centre BID, every business in the BID area can now benefit from free membership of Crawley & Gatwick Business Watch, including access to the accredited Safer Premises DISC security platform.
What is Business Watch?
Crawley and Gatwick Business Watch is the Business Crime Reduction Partnership for Crawley that brings together businesses from across the town to help reduce business-related crime and disorder.
It is a fully accredited scheme that complies with strict protocols and guidelines to allow business members to work together with the Police and Crawley Borough Council to reduce crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour that impacts doing business in the town. It is one of 250 such schemes that operate in the country.
By being part of the scheme town centre businesses benefit from sharing information and intelligence about security and business continuity issues that impact trading, working and visiitng the town, including receiving incident alerts via the password protected platform.
Members can also benefit from a weekly e-newsletter and the option of being able to hire one of the Business Watch security radios as well as the advice and support of the dedicated Business Watch Manager, Paul Dowling.
Crawley & Gatwick Business Watch works in partnership with the National Business Crime Solution (NBCS) (https://home.nationalbusinesscrimesolution.com/) to provide an additional level of support and intelligence to help improve data sharing and access national level crime data and reports or persistent organised crime to add an extra layer of protection to Crawley businesses.
How much will this cost my business?
Nothing. This service is provided free to companies courtesy of the Crawley Town Centre BID.
